Francois van Coke is much loved and revered in the industry for his humble nature and his musical prowess.

Over an 18-year-career that has seen him flawlessly reinvent himself more than a few times, there’s always been a part of him that’s stuck to his guns, while adapting to the changing times around him.

With a string of #1 albums, sold out arena shows and a whole country of Afrikaans hearts under his belt, he is quite simply, the undisputed king of South African rock ‘n’ roll.

We caught up with him for an epic trip down memory lane, through the heart of contemporary SA rock ’n’ roll that culminates in a spot of boxing, all while a kiddies mermaid party is being planned in the background.
